Be Aware
A bill is currently under development in the Virginia Housing Commission. If passed, this law may:
- Require E&O Insurance
- Disallow a limitation of Liability below the insurance limits

There are a number of high quality local entry-level home inspector training programs approved by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).
Inspectors who inspect new construction must hold the new residential structures (NRS) designation. There are a number of local training programs approved by DPOR.
