To make a profit, you need to set your fees to cover your expenses and to pay your salary. This course shows you how to estimate your expenses so you can set profitable fees for your services. All inspectors need this information, so all should attend this webinar.

This webinar will provide you with the knowledge to set realistic inspection fees for operating your business at a profit. You will learn how to:

1) Determine an appropriate home inspection billing rate.

2) Calculate profit for your home inspection business.

3) Evaluate typical per inspection costs.

About the Presenter

Bruce Barker has been building and inspecting homes for over 35 years. He is an ICC certified Residential Combination Inspector, a licensed contractor, and a licensed home inspector in multiple states. Bruce has a BSBA in Accounting, and an MBA in Information Systems. Bruce has been a long-time member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and served as the 2021 ASHI National president.

Bruce has authored and edited many books including: Everybody’s Building Code, The NHIE Home Inspection Manual, A Practical Guide to Evaluating Decks, and books in the Black & Decker series including Codes for Homeowners, Deck Codes and Standards, and The Complete Guides to Wiring, Advanced Wiring, Plumbing, and Decks.
