Home inspectors, in many cases, showed flexibility and fared well through the pandemic lock down of 2020, while other types of businesses suffered greatly. VAREI adapted and faced the challenge by sponsoring and offering various online resources.
October 2020: VAREI teamed up with the Northern Virginia ASHI chapter to host a successful online seminar featuring well-known speaker, Mike Casey.
May 2021: VAREI joined in a team effort by all the Virginia and Maryland ASHI chapters to sponsor another online seminar. This one featured nationally recognized experts Joe Denneler and Douglas Hanson, as well as “local” presenters Bronson Anderson, Shane McClung and Dave Goldberg.
October 2021: VAREI held its Annual Meeting and Seminar, which turned out to be a very successful online event, with nearly 100 VAREI members participating. The day-long meeting offered 6 CE’s and included sessions by well-known author and presenter, Bruce Barker. We also heard from Virginia DPOR director Trisha Lindsey, whose department oversees home inspectors, as well as Robb Bohannon, VAREI’s lobbyist in Richmond.
