As the 229th home inspector to join the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), he helped to write their standards, served on its National Technical Committee that defines inspection standards that protect consumers, and has conducted over 100,000 ASHI peer reviews and 24,000 home inspections.

Brian Koepf currently serves as a Governor's appointee to the State of Virginia's Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation Board (VA DPOR in Richmond) that regulates Home Inspectors, Lead and Asbestos in the State.

Brian began inspecting homes in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC, in 1972, after graduating from the University of Virginia, serving in the U.S. Army, and working in corporate management. He has personally completed 24,000 home inspections.
